Born out of my 30 Day Intuitive Painting Challenge, this style is quickly becoming a favorite. There’s something about the pulled paint that I just love. I can’t really control what it does, and all the mixing and organic white space is a happy surprise each and every time.

Growning up in a home with high expectations and an emphasis on doing, this mantra is an important one in my current life. One of my main places of stickiness (read: anxiety) is feeling like I don’t have enough time (I call this time anxiety).

I’ve been a stay at home mama for 8 years, all the while feeling the pull toward entrepreneurship and deepening my relationship with my Creative Self. But raising two little boys 22 months apart and holding the sky up for my whole family as a Coast Guard spouse is pretty all consuming. I can feel my engine revving just writing this.

Allowing myself the time and space for both creativity and rest proves to be my greatest challenge in this chapter of my life. It’s also my magic weapon and the path to living a joyful and ease-filled life. When I give myself room in my days and weeks to nurture and nourish my Creative Self, I am my most holistically well.

I hope this mantra serves you and reminds you to make yourself a priority.
